Getting ready
Only two and a half weeks to go before I head off on my new adventure. The closer it gets, the more surreal it feels. I never really expected this to happen, so it's all very strange, now that I'm actually going.
Thought I'd get this journal started early, so that I can have it all up and running by the time I arrive. Am not sure what sort of Internet access I'm going to have once I get there, so don't know how frequent my posts will be.
The avalanche of change in my life has already begun: It started on the 9th of March, when I became an aunty for the first time (Oh Jack, how I will miss you when I'm gone, you gorgeous little thing!). Since then, things have really started moving (and I mean that literally, because I'm about to move out of my house after being here for nearly four years). Juliett Street has been a home and haven of many since our 2001 arrival. We had our last party here last night - what a cracker of a night. Thanks to everyone who came and helped make it such a special farewell. And thanks to my lovely flatties, for making the last four years the best ever - may the Arch of Love, the Wall of Fame and the SkyLounge remain forever in our hearts! xx
